All About Water: Let's learn about water, drink it, play in it, paint with it, and do experiments with
it! Come in clothes that can get wet. Enjoy summertime favorites of popsicles, popcorn and lemonade.
American Girl: We will explore some of the games, activities, stories and themes from the
American Girl Book, “Friends, Making and Them and Keeping Them” by Patti Kelley Criswell. Please
bring your favorite doll (American Girl doll or other) as we explore nature, do crafts, role play,
engage in fitness. We'll wrap up our week with a tea party and reading friendship poems.
*This camp runs 5 hours (9 AM to 2 PM) for 3 days (Wednesday – Friday) to include lunch you bring
Animal Dancing: Can you move like an animal? We will have an animal dance party and make up
our own moves as well.
Archery–Beginning: Learn beginning archery skills. Learn archery folktales. Get some target
practice and learn the etiquette and safety rules for all projectiles.
Archery-Advanced: This camp is for archers who have previously completed an archery camp. It
provides extended target time to practice consistent, accurate shooting skills. and make your own
bow and arrow.
Artists Explorers: Join us for a week full of different styles of arts, crafts, and outdoor activities
while using all different mediums to paint and create while exploring new methods and having fun
in the sun. Projects are simplified for younger campers in the morning and extended for older
campers in the afternoon.
Dino Dig Discoveries: Let's walk back in time and delve into a world before humans existed! We
will learn about dinosaurs, excavate in search of dinosaur fossils or eggs, create dinosaur themed art,
and explode volcanoes.
Disney Mouseketeers: Let's take a pretend trip to Disney with stories, activities, crafts, STEAM
activities, and art centered around our favorite characters. Find your mouse ears- and pack your
snack- but no long travel involved!
Drama in the woods: Anyone who loves drama, games, dressing up in costumes, creating props, or
has a big imagination will love this camp. We will squeeze all the necessary pieces of a longer
theater class in just a week culminating in a short performance for family and friends on the last day
of camp.
Edible Creations: Little chefs will love this week of making and eating no-cook snacks and telling
stories to match! No allergies or special diets please.
Eric Carle Animals: Our favorite author/artist has so many wonderful stories about animals.
Let's explore some of his stories. From the powerful Brown Bear to the Slow Sloth, we'll learn
all about them!
Eric Carle Bugs: Enjoy the stories of Eric Carle and spend the week exploring the woods, fields, and
ponds for a close-up look into the world of bugs. We'll make bug-themed crafts, habitats, pretend to
be bugs, and play games as we celebrate these fascinating creatures.
Fairy Camp: If you like using your imagination and everything magic, looking for Fairies is for you!
We will learn their characteristics and how they help care for the plants and critters in the woods.
We’ll build fairy houses, look for treasures, play games, and create fairy gardens, wings or wands to
take home.
Fancy Nancy Goes Glamping: Fancy Nancy loves everything shimmery, shiny, or sparkly. She also
loves ribbons, tea parties, lavender and anything French. She loves bugs and flowers and she knows
how to find all the beautiful things in nature. We will look extraordinarily spectacular as we explore
outdoors with our fancy gear and nature journal.
50 Dangerous Things: Inspired by the book, 50 Dangerous Things (You Should Let Your Children Do), we
hope to remember that climbing trees is good for the soul and that a pocket knife is not a weapon.
Full of exciting ways children can explore the world around them, we will learn to “Play with Fire”
and “Taste Electricity” while learning about safety and much, much more.
Finding Your Way: Learn how to use a compass to navigate different orienteering courses. This
camp includes map reading and map making and understanding topographical maps.
Fishing Adventures: Spend time fishing as well as exploring the woods and pond. Experiment with
different bait to catch catfish, brim, and bluegill. Learn about fish body parts, habitats, and about
North Carolina fresh water fish. We will taste different kinds of fish cooked over a campfire.
Five Senses Extravaganza: Explore all our senses with this wonderful journey into seeing, hearing,
touching, smelling, and even tasting nature and art. We'll do process art, play games, and take
mindful journeys into the woods.
Flowers and Foraging: This camp will focus on Woodland flowers, foraging and gardening. We'll
talk about soil preparation, composting, plant parts and life cycle, companion planting, native plants,
and invasive plants. In this camp, we will help maintain Woodland gardens and taste fresh garden
produce each day. We will do floral art projects.
Frog and Toad: Everyone loves Frog and Toad. We will recreate their world and act out their
stories. They will teach us about being a great friend. We will sing all the frog songs we know. We
will look for and learn the difference between real frogs and toads, too.
Hair-rising Scientist: Campers will wonder “What if?” as they do some mixing, melting, and
exploding all while having a super time acquiring STEM knowledge! They will do hands on
experiments and have opportunities to ask new questions, create their own experiments, and share
their knowledge at this creative, exploratory, and fun science camp.
Jewelry Making: Learn some skills of jewelry making, such as woven friendship bracelets, epoxy
resin rings, bead making from paper and clay, metal stamped jewelry, beaded or tasseled keychains,
nature painted wooden earrings, glass bead earrings, and upcycled material jewelry. Bring home fun
pieces to wear or give away.
Little Birdie Explorers: Discover different kinds of birds and their different colors, go on
scavenger hunts, learn about bird habitats, and create birdhouses or bird feeders.
Mighty Girls!: This fun filled week will let girls share their interests and creativity with their new
friends. We will paint, sing, dance and PLAY! If your child would like to bring a doll, we will have our
doll accessories out for the girls to enjoy. We will plan to make lemonade, enjoy popsicles and other
sweet treats throughout the week. Please wear clothes to wet and messy!
Mr. MacGregor’s Garden: We will dig in the dirt, plant seeds, and create gardening accessories.
We will also read stories by Beatrice Potter and learn about the plants and critters in Mr.
MacGregor’s garden. This gardening experience for the youngest of campers will provide free play
and age-appropriate games and activities.
Mud Monsters: We will play in the mud, create concoctions and read stories about monsters. We
WILL get dirty!
Off to Neverland: Join Peter Pan and the Darling children in the adventures of Fairies, Mermaids,
Pirates, Injuns, and the Lost Boys on this adventure of Never-Growing-Up.
Outdoor Adventures: Campers will learn how to play safely in the woods, including hiking basics,
leave no trace principles, and fire safety. This camp may include outdoor games, knots, and first aid.
Older kids will get to try a little fishing and archery.
Outdoor Cooking: Plan on building a fire every day and learning techniques of foil, dutch oven,
stick, and 1 pot cooking. Incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables by foraging or harvesting if
available. Be prepared to experiment with new tastes.

and strategies and team-building.
Pioneers & Explorers: What would it be like to pack everything you own into a wagon and head
across the plains of America? How did children work and play? What did they eat? What did they
wear? Let's experience some of these things as children did years ago as well as learn some frontier
history.
Pirate Adventures: Can you say “Arghh!”? Join us for a week-long adventurer full of pirate ship
boat making, treasure hunts, and creating treasure maps. Bring your imagination while we sail away
on pirate ships by the tree house and dig for jewels and gold coin in the sand.
Plants and Pollinators: We will learn just how special pollinators are as we learn about caterpillars
and butterflies, moths, bees, bats, and hummingbirds . We will learn about their life cycle, and plan
for plants to attract them We will also read stories, and create beautiful crafts.
Seedlings of Kindness: This is a fun-filled week for little campers to learn about and practice
kindness & empathy. We will make new friends as we play together, practice kid-friendly yoga, play
games, read stories, explore sensory activities and do art.
STEAM Extravaganza: Spend one day focused on each letter of STEAM – science, technology,
engineering, art and math. Fun games and activities to see the day-to-day application of these
concepts.
Stories and Scavenger Hunts: If your child loves books, stories, and exploring, this camp of
storybook read-alouds and scavenger hunts in the great outdoors is for you. Each day will include
new picture books, fairy tales, and adventure stories that have focused riddles and clues. Children
will work together in order to solve each mystery scavenger hunt and play fun games along the way.
Tie-dye All the Things: We will learn different kinds of tie dye methods, and use it to make lots of
crafty things.
Treasure Trails: Work with your team to discover clues, solve puzzles, and investigate mysteries
in this new twist on summer camp. We will follow clues on treasure trails, and learn what makes a
good mystery. Bring your ideas and create a puzzle for us all to solve. Lots of role playing and
mysterious fun.
Trolls, Elves and Gnomes: What is the difference between a troll, an elf and a gnome? We will
learn about good ones and naughty ones through stories, crafts and games.
Wilderness Survival: Campers will learn several skills required to survive in the wilderness. We
will experiment with design styles and effective shelters, campfires, solar cooking, and foraging. We
may even eat a bug!
Woodland Weavings: Nature provides so many examples of art to admire, to recreate, and to use.
We will also incorporate fibers of all kinds. Join us for this mixed media camp of creation!
