Each afternoon at Woodland Discovery has a class with a different focus. (see below).  Each class is designed and executed by the teacher, with some variance based on the subject matter and the teacher, but all with as many of the activities as possible utilizing the Natural Environment. These are drop-off classes that do not require parental attendance or participation.

​PRICING 
$900 For the entire academic year - broken into 9 equal payments of $100 per Month, starting in August 2022. 
Our model is based on an annual commitment.


CLASSES ARE IN SESSION   SEPTEMBER - MAY

Mondays - Outdoor team-building games.  Frances will lead your children in outdoor games that build confidence, independence and cooperation in a group setting, as well as Ninja tracking and other activities that get your kids moving. 

Tuesdays - Science Explorers - Taught by Lauren.  This is a traditional Forest School approach to outdoor play with a focus on cooperative learning and play.  Students follow the seasonal changes to discover the science of the world around us.  

Wednesday - 
Nature Art - Frances will encourage creative thinking by using the materials of the woodlands to create beautiful one of a kind art and craft activities. 

Archery - Taught by Carolyn - From beginners to advanced, this class opens the range for a wide variety of skill sets.  During Inclement weather, this class will retreat to a "Makers-space" for creative 3-D building and construction. 


Thursdays -  Outdoor Skills - Lauren will help your child learn their way around the forest, build shelters and fires, and feel at ease in the out-of-doors. 

Fridays - Fiber Arts. Taught by Frances/ Carolyn.  Learn about wool from the sheep shearing to carding to knitting, and create useful items such as scarves and mittens.  As time permits, we will also do some hand and machine sewing such as embroidery, quilting and humanitarian projects.  
                

Classes offered Monday through Friday from 1:00- 4:00 pm, starting in September 2022.

Applications for the 2022-2023 Calendar year are available by email.

An Enrollment Contract and a non-refundable $75 application fee is required to reserve a spot.

​First monthly payment is due August 1st.
