Gathering
We gather inside with activities to engage children as they arrive and separate from parents. This may include manipulatives, sensory activities, reading, building, pre-writing activities, or feeding the pets.
Opening
We gather in a circle time to discuss the days activities, and talk about any background information for the day. This time may also include singing and reading stories.
Outdoor Exploration
We head outside to explore the many play areas. The Harris Lake property uniquely contains a wide variety of ecosystems, including pond, creek, wetlands, woods, meadow, and gardens. Sometimes this time expands and encompasses the majority of the day.
Snack
We encourage healthy food choices in a snack brought from home. Any additional snack offered is approved by parents of children with food allergies or restrictions. Occasional wild seasonal foraged foods supplement snack.
Activity
This time is often spent in a group game, activity, dramatization or art experience.
Reflection
This time allows children to reflect on the days activities, make plans for the next day, and practice literacy skills in recording our day.
PRICING
1 day per week - 10 monthly payments of $70
2 days per week - 10 monthly payments of $130
3 days per week - 10 monthly payments of $190
4 days per week - 10 monthly payments of $250
5 days per week - 10 monthly payments of $310
Forest Preschool is a year-long commitment. You can choose to pay the annual tuition in full, or break down the cost over 9 monthly payments. Depending on space, single days may be available for $25. Please inquire.

Applications for the 2020-2021 Calendar year are available by email after a class visit has been completed. Call for a Tour
An Enrollment Contract and a $75 application fee are required as soon as a spot is offered.
First monthly payment is due August 1st.
