How old does my child need to be to attend forest school?

Our classes are tailored to children between the ages of 3-12. (see below)

We accept children starting at age 3 (children must be 3 by August 31st). Please note that children must be fully potty-trained in order to attend.

How much does Forest School and Homeschool Explorers cost?

$1,000 per session, annually. A session is one half-day per week.

You can choose to pay tuition in full, or break it down over 9 monthly payments.

How do we enroll?

All families must tour Woodland Discovery before applying. CLICK HERE to request a tour.

Your enrollment application will be emailed after you attend a tour.

A signed enrollment contract and a $75 registration fee are required as soon as a spot is offered.

When do we pay tuition?

For your convenience, you may choose between annual tuition or monthly tuition. Annual tuition is due on August 1st. Monthly tuition is due by the first of each month, with the first monthly payment being due on August 1st.

Do we need to provide snacks?

Yes, all children bring their own snack and water bottle to every class. Due to allergies and preferences, Woodland Discovery does not generally provide food without notifying parents.

What do we wear?

We recommend wearing “play clothes” that can get wet and dirty. For their safety, children must wear close-toed shoes at all times, with no exceptions. Please dress for the weather, as we are always outside. Students must keep a change of seasonally appropriate clothes in their assigned cubby.

What happens if there’s bad weather?

With the exception of dangerous weather (high winds and/or lightning), we stay outside. If school is canceled due to extreme weather, makeup days will be made available. However, please know that we play outside when it’s hot, cold, and raining.
