CAMPS ARE LISTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER

Aesop's Fables – The animals are clever and have many lessons to teach us. A fable a day will keep this group at play! We will listen to stories, read (if they wish), create skits and art along with Woodland play.

All About Water: Let's learn about water, drink it, play in it, paint with it, and do experiments with
it! Come in clothes that can get wet. Enjoy summertime favorites of popsicles, popcorn and lemonade.
Archery–Beginning – Learn beginning archery skills. Learn archery folktales. Get some target practice and learn the etiquette and safety rules for all projectiles.
Archery-Advanced - This camp is for archers who have previously completed an archery camp. It provides extended target time to practice consistent, accurate shooting skills. and make your own bow and arrow.

Artist Explorers – Join us for a week full of different styles of arts, crafts, and outdoor activities while using all different mediums to paint and create while exploring new methods and having fun in the sun. Projects are simplified for younger campers in the morning and extended for older campers in the afternoon.

Dino Dig - Let's walk back in time and delve into a world before humans existed! We will learn about dinosaurs, excavate in search of dinosaur fossils or eggs, create dinosaur themed art, and explode volcanoes.

DaVinci’s World – DaVinci was an Artist, Inventor, Naturalist, Architect, Machinist, Designer, and studied human anatomy & health in depth. Let’s explore his world and interests, and amazing discoveries and fun!

Drama in the Woods – Anyone who loves drama, games, dressing up in costumes, creating props, or has a big imagination will love this camp. We will squeeze all the necessary pieces of a longer theater class in just a week culminating in a short performance for family and friends on the last day of camp for the afternoon group.

Eric Carle Animals – Our favorite author/artist has so many wonderful stories about animals. Let's explore some of his stories from the powerful Brown Bear to the Slow Sloth. We'll learn about them all!

Fairies & Trolls – If you like using your imagination and everything magic, looking for Fairies and Trolls is for you! What is the difference between a troll, an elf and a gnome? We will learn their characteristics and about good ones and naughty ones through stories, crafts and games.

Fancy Nancy Goes Glamping – Fancy Nancy loves everything shimmery, shiny, or sparkly. She also loves ribbons, tea parties, lavender and anything French. She loves bugs and flowers and she knows how to find all the beautiful things in nature. We will look extraordinarily spectacular as we explore outdoors with our fancy gear and nature journal.

50 Dangerous Things –Inspired by the book, 50 Dangerous Things (You Should Let Your Children Do), we hope to remember that climbing trees is good for the soul and that a pocket knife is not a weapon. Full of exciting ways children can explore the world around them, we will learn to “Play with Fire” and “Taste Electricity” while learning about safety and much, much more.

Fishing Adventures – Spend time fishing as well as exploring the woods and pond. Experiment with different bait to catch catfish, brim, and bluegill. Learn about fish body parts, habitats, and about North Carolina fresh water fish. We may taste different kinds of fish cooked over a campfire.
Fishing Competition - Fishermen ages 8 and older are invited to a 3 day camp where we will tally and weigh fish caught. We will cook over the campfire and win awards.

Fly to Neverland – Join Peter Pan and the Darling children in the adventures of Fairies, Mermaids, Pirates, Injuns, and the Lost Boys on this adventure of Never-Growing-Up.

Frog and Toad – Everyone loves Frog and Toad. We will recreate their world and act out their stories. They will teach us about being a great friend. We will sing all the frog songs we know. We will look for and learn the difference between real frogs and toads, too.

Hair-rising Scientist – Campers will wonder “What if?” as they do some mixing, melting, and exploding all while having a super time acquiring STEM knowledge! They will do hands on experiments and have opportunities to ask new questions, create their own experiments, and share their knowledge at this creative, exploratory, and fun science camp.

JewelryMaking- Learnhowtocraftbeautifuljewelrysuchasbeadweaving,wireringsandbracelets, resin charms, and woven friendship bracelets. Bring home fun pieces to wear or give away.

Mother Goose on the Loose – Spend time with Mother Goose in Mother Nature. Children will enjoy timeless rhymes, stories, songs, and woodland play all while exploring the very basics of literacy without even knowing it.

Mr. MacGregor’s Garden – We will dig in the dirt, plant seeds, and create gardening accessories. We will also read stories by Beatrice Potter and learn about the plants and critters in Mr. MacGregor’s garden.

MudMonsters–Wewillplayinthemud,createconcoctionsandreadstoriesaboutmonsters. WeWILL get dirty!

MusicalParades- Wewillmakeallkindsofinstrumentsandparadethroughthewoodssinging, banging, playing and making beautiful noise.

Mythology Camp - Anyone who has an interest in Greek Gods and Goddesses, come join us at Mythology Camp, (inspired by Camp Half-Blood). We will participate in classic camp fun, games and adventures while learning about Greek mythology and legends.

Natural Engineers -Have you ever noticed that some of the coolest inventions and buildings are modeled after plants and animals? Nature is one of the best engineers! We will learn the different ways plans and animals survive and thrive in unique ways and then try to copy them and see who does it better. We'll learn about wombat poop houses, helicopter leaves, beavers and more.

House that Jack Built –Learn how different animals build their homes. Learn about habitats. Play and

build with all kinds of tools and construction materials.

Off to see the Wizard – Follow Dorothy and her friends down the Yellow Brick Road to face challenges in search of their dreams. Along the way, we will act, build, paint, plant and play as we journey through the woods to Oz.

Outdoor Adventures – Campers will learn how to play safely in the woods, including hiking basics, leave no trace principles, and fire safety. This camp may include outdoor games, knots, and first aid. Older kids will get to try a little fishing and archery.

Outdoor Chef – Bread & tortillas, pasta, pies, popcorn, soup, vegetables! Learn easy recipes to cook outdoors from scratch. We will talk about food safety and have a cook-off at the end of the week. No Allergies or special diets, please.

Outdoor Cooking – Plan on building a fire every day and learning techniques of foil, dutch oven, stick, and 1 pot cooking. Be prepared to experiment with new tastes. This camp runs 5 hours (9 AM to 2 PM) for 3 days (Monday – Wednesday) to include lunch that we make! No Allergies or special diets, please.

Outdoor Games- Work together as teams to create and learn new outdoor games. Lots of running and strategies and team-building. We'll use water games to cool off so come prepared to get wet, have fun, and go home tired.

Paper Masters – Learn the beauty of recycling paper and sustainability with these great projects: Paper- making with flowers, vegetables, seeds and leaves, We'll learn to assemble a book and make book covers, prints and lanterns.

Pioneers Days – What would it be like to pack everything you own into a wagon and head across the plains of America? How did children work and play? What did they eat? What did they wear? Let's experience some of these things as children did years ago as well as learn some frontier history.

Pirate Adventures – Can you say “Arghh!”? Join us for a week-long adventurer full of pirate ship boat making, treasure hunts, and creating treasure maps. Bring your imagination while we sail away on pirate ships by the tree house and dig for jewels and gold coin in the sand.

Stories and Scavenger Hunts – If your child loves books, stories, and exploring, this camp of storybook read-alouds and scavenger hunts in the great outdoors is for you. Each day will include new picture books, fairy tales, and adventure stories that have focused riddles and clues. Children will work together in order to solve each mystery scavenger hunt and play fun games along the way.

Survival Camping – Campers will learn several skills required to survive in the wilderness. We will learn about dangerous plants & insects, build shelters and campfires, try some solar cooking, orienteering and fishing.

Young Farmers – Acquire the life-long skill and joy of gardening where we learn about corn, microgreens, tomatoes, beans, squash, flowers, Herbs, hydroponics, and miniature gardens.

Young Photographers – Learn about photography and videography by experimenting with portraits, nature, abstract, objects and mood.

Choose your own Adventure - This camp will be sure to cover all the favorite play places (Roxaboxen, archery, treehouse, creek and  camping skills) and incorporate the play suggestions of each camper, including problem-solving and creative activities.
